Community Focused

Our Mission Statement

The Midlands of South Carolina Black Nurses Association (MIDSCBNA) is a chapter of the National Black Nurses Association (NBNA), established in 2019. Our mission aligns with the NBNA’s overarching goal to serve as the voice for Black nurses and diverse populations, ensuring equal access to professional development, promoting educational opportunities, and improving health outcomes. MIDSCBNA focuses on three strategic priorities: leadership development, mentoring, and advocacy.

How We Take Action

What We Do

The chapter also implements programs like the Mini-Nurse Academy, exposing young students to the nursing profession, the Nurse Connect Mentorship Program, which supports nursing students, and an annual scholarship luncheon to recognizes academic excellence.
